Irish contemporary artist drawn to minimalism, post-minimalism, and abstract forms; with a BA (1st Hons) in Fine art – Painting from Limerick School of Art and Design, LIT. Sinead’s fascination with the aesthetics of minimalist abstract art were sparked by the ‘Gold Paintings’ of the Irish artist Patrick Scott’s, and a 20 plus year career that followed her earlier training as an Architectural Technician; experiences that shaped Sinead’s interest in architectural spaces, design, aesthetics, and materials. It is Sinead’s long-standing relationship with line, colour, space, and geometric shapes fuel her passion to physically engage with and manipulate ready-made item’s, found surfaces and fabricated elements. Techniques employed in fashioning works include folding, bending, and layering/linking systems, with outcomes and orientations often indeterminable.
