Norah Brennan is a visual artist who specialises in printmaking but also uses paint, collage and bookbinding in her practice. She makes abstract artworks for the joy of creating something that didn’t exist before. She puts herself into her works and tells a story of a life journey, of time passing and of changes that come. Memories, emotions, fears and expectations all are played out on paper and canvas. Norah has had solo shows in Ireland and Northern Ireland, has been part of group shows internationally and has been selected for many juried exhibitions.
She has completed residencies in Wales and in rural Kenya. Norah teaches art workshops, mainly in printmaking, bookbinding and painting from her own studio in Mayo where she lives and she is part of the vibrant Limerick Print Studio. Her work is part of both private and state collections and she also takes on commissioned work.
